How to Choose a Boxing Gloves Manufacturer

Navy boxing gloves made in Sialkot

Short answer: pick a boxing gloves manufacturer that actually makes the gloves itself, lets you approve a sample before the full run, and is upfront about minimum order, materials, logo options, payment and shipping. If a supplier can't answer those questions clearly in a quick message, keep looking.

Choosing who makes your gloves is a big call. Whether you're kitting out a gym, stocking a shop or launching your own label, the maker decides how the gloves look, feel and hold up. Here's a simple, no-fluff way to check a manufacturer before you commit.

Are you talking to the actual manufacturer?

This is the first thing to sort out. A lot of sellers are middlemen who pass your order on to someone else. That's not always bad, but it means slower replies, more room for mix-ups and less control over the details.

Ask straight out: "Do you make these gloves yourselves, and where?" A real maker will tell you where the workshop is and who you'll be dealing with. For example, we make our gloves in our own workshop at 434 Market Road, Model Town, Sialkot, Pakistan, so when you message us you're talking to the people making your order.

What materials can they work with?

Most buyers choose between genuine leather and synthetic. Each has its place, and a good manufacturer should be happy to explain the trade-offs instead of pushing one. If you're not sure which suits you, our guide on leather vs synthetic boxing gloves breaks it down.

Check whether the material choice changes with order type. At Active Reality, retail gloves in the store are synthetic, while bulk and private-label orders can be made in genuine leather or synthetic.

How will your logo go on?

Logo method affects the look, the feel and the price. Common options are embroidery, printing, patches and embossing. Ask which methods the maker offers and which one they'd suggest for your design. A manufacturer that only offers one method may not be a fit if you have a detailed crest or a full brand look in mind.

On our bulk orders we can add your logo by embroidery, printing, patches or another method you need. See the options on our custom boxing gloves page.

Do they make a sample first?

Never skip the sample. It's the only real way to check colours, stitching, padding feel, logo placement and fit before you pay for a full run. Ask:

  • How long does the sample take?
  • Who pays for it?
  • Can I ask for changes before production starts?

For our bulk orders, the sample takes 15–16 days, and production only starts once you've approved it. For bulk custom-logo orders the sample is free; for other orders the buyer pays for samples. We also share a design mock-up for your approval before production.

What's the minimum order, and what does it depend on?

Minimum order quantity (MOQ) varies a lot between makers. The key question isn't just "what's the number?" but "what does it depend on?" Design, material and product type can all move it. Our bulk, OEM and private-label minimum is 100–1,000 pieces depending on the design and material, and we'll tell you the exact figure for your order. There's more detail in our post on the MOQ for custom boxing gloves.

How do quotes, lead times and payment work?

A good manufacturer gives you a clear quote with the price and the lead time, based on what you actually asked for. Be wary of anyone who promises a fixed delivery date before they know your quantity and design.

For us, bulk lead time depends on quantity, and we confirm it with your quote. For bulk payments we accept T/T bank transfer or letter of credit. If you need a figure we haven't stated, just message us for a quote.

What about shipping and returns?

Shipping can add a nasty surprise to the final bill, so ask early. We ship worldwide for free, with no extra shipping cost on top. Also ask what happens if something isn't right. We offer 15-day returns, and that includes custom items.

Do they actually reply?

It sounds small, but it matters. How a supplier handles your first few questions is a good sign of how they'll handle your order. Do you get a real person? Are the answers specific? We're a small team, and when you message us on WhatsApp you get a person, not a bot.

A quick checklist before you choose

  • They make a sample before the full run.
  • They tell you the MOQ and what it depends on.
  • They give a clear quote with price and lead time.
  • Shipping, returns and payment terms are spelled out.
  • They reply like real people.

FAQ

Should I choose the cheapest boxing gloves manufacturer?

Not on price alone. Compare like for like: same material, same logo method, same quantity. Then judge the sample. A cheaper quote that skips the sample can cost more in the end.

Can I visit or see the workshop?

Ask the maker. If you want to see what goes on in ours, read how custom boxing gloves are made.

Can one manufacturer make gloves and other gear?

Many can. We make boxing gloves, headgear, groin guards, focus mitts, boxing shoes and full sets, so you can keep your whole range with one maker.

How do I get a quote from Active Reality?

Send your logo, colours, sizes and quantity on WhatsApp (+92 324 2121547) or email active.reality1968@gmail.com, and we'll come back with a price and lead time.
